The trouble is this: if you've amassed a library either on PC or a console, jumping to one or the other can be a very expensive proposition.

I built my pc more than 12 years ago. I love these type of videos, they remind me of those amazing times.

For many who fear the complexity, and potentially confusing nature of a Windows PC, buying an Xbox means they can still easily game at a good level, and for a lower price. But for anyone with the knowledge and ability to manage a PC, especially if you can build your own, it's flexibility in covering office, browsing, and editing functions, etc, plus upgradeability, more than makes up for any amount of additional costs.

Honestly console is so hassle free. That’s something that needs to be considered. It’s 120 fps hassle free. You don’t need to mess with settings you don’t need to make sure you update drivers then update the game. You don’t have to have multiple programs to buy the games want.

I’m a pc gamer because I want the highest quality of gaming but the series x is very close to the gaming experience that I have on pc ( I run 4k 5800x3D and 4090)

Series X is a great console for what it is. For the price, you can have 120fps games and an entry to GamePass. I sold mine for PC (7900xt) but if I was on a budget, Series X (or PS5 which I still have) is amazing. Also, note that console removes most cheating as you can shut crossplay to PC. However, a AM4 5600/6700xt build can be had for a little more than the consoles nowadays.

Get both and have the best of both worlds. Xbox for its simplicity and controller. PC for gaming with better graphics 'rawr power', do your homework/work, printing, etc. PC lets you do much more than PS5 and Xbox. But consoles offer simplicity at a cheaper price.

Used to be console, now PC gaming.
I find it easier.
I'm not very good with those controllers. You used to have 4 buttons or something and that was easy to play with, now you have many buttons, many combinations to remember, etc... Also, many games only work with the 2 bats, I can't play well with that.

PC gaming is great but as with everything it is an expensive hobby, you have to have a decent PC and that costs money. (my opinion). My PC costs 2645 euros.
I used to buy 1 of 1200, that was really not good, I want to play games on the max settings, you also need enough vram and not just the ram. And that thing made a lot of noise too. Now my PC is very very quiet. What a difference.

I've just swapped from a gaming pc to xbox as I simply cannot afford to upgrade my pc to play 4k where as the xbox series x handles 4k really well xxxx

I've always bounced between the two throughout the years, console, then a PC, then back to console, then back to PC. Mainly due to life circumstances; money, travelling, living situation etc, etc. Hands down I would always choose PC if the option is possible, yes it's expensive and requires more configuration (which I actually love, as I love choosing my own preferences, choosing between image quality vs framerate etc) but to me it is the ultimate gaming experience. A couple of things I'm surprised you didn't mention though is mod support and the use of ReShade on PC??? Some games can totally be transformed with mods, gameplay wise, bug fixes and graphical changes??? I adore the modding and ReShade communities on PC.

I would love to build an epic gaming PC one day but for now Series X has been a solid enough experience and first time ive experienced higher refresh rates has been game changing.

The one thing I really like about the Xbox is the fact it has a DVD drive. This is something that a lot of PCs have been lacking in the last few years.

there is defo a huge benefit to using an xbox especially in 2023 where most people just wanna come home and play a game. things like gamepass although available on pc, is a great addition to console, along with its ease of use. You dont have to worry about fan curves, or graphics settings. you should just be able to pick up a controller and play.

on the other hand, pc is great if you want a choice. a lot of things werent covered in this video such as game emulation, choice of games (pc only games, PS games and xbox games in 1 place) the option of using any controller you like on pc such as xbox or ps controller or a keyboard and mouse. also creative applications are only available on pc and if you want an ultrawide gaming monitor, you need a pc. pc is defo for the more hardcore gamer or creative professional due to the large variety of simulation hardware such as racing wheels, flight joy sticks and virtual reality headsets to pick from.

Great take, but it's kind of weird to compare a console to such a high end pc (price wise, and power) For the price, the xbox is amazing, also taking into consideration gamepass. personally I got a okay-ish laptop from 2 years ago with a rtx 3060 and a ryzen 7, it runs most of the games i play on high, my series x runs what I like there, playstation 5 because of god of war and my switch due to pokemon, everything has it's ups, and downs. But I prefer to see the positive in em, they all work in their own way, for different types of games.

As a PC gamer i really love the xbox series because of mouse and keyboard support, and its cheaper...it takes a high end PC just to enjoy games at that 70+ fps while a console has games already optimised

I think there's no reason for most people to go for a pc now, unless you want to play steam games. The series x is an incredible value for the price.

for fortnite, Competitive settings are Everything Tuned down to Low, Resolution set to 1080p, fps Unlimited, Render Distance set to Far. or resolution set to 1440p

Would have been interesting to know the difference in power draw from the wall but still a great video. Personally I just bought a mini PC and really surprised with its performance with PC games. I am only playing on 1080p 60hz TV but still thought it might struggle but so far so good and I’ve seen it do 1440p on YouTube videos which I’m gonna test next so very happy and the power draw is low.

My son has just built his first PC, his GPU cost more than my Series X. He plays on a 27” monitor, my Xbox is plugged into my 55” 1080p tv in my bedroom, and that is the main difference between the 2. Most people who own a console are regarded as ‘casual’ gamers with their consoles plugged into their tvs, and are happy with the ease of use, and are great fun with a few mates playing FIFA, CoD etc….., and most are not really bothered with the most cutting edge visuals, frame rate and so on, they just want a great looking game, (and my Xbox does that, ) and a laugh. Pc gamers are more involved with the game, wanting the hardware to be pushed to its limits and want the very best experience from their Pc, with the frame rates, visuals etc.., but I feel if this is be achieved, it comes at a very expensive price! Most decent PCs cost well over a £1, 000, and then the monitor is more as well. For a PC that runs as good as the Series X, PS5, in all reality going to cost up to 3x the price, if not more! Both Pc and console games can be treated equally, as the most important thing to remember is having fun, and it doesn’t really matter what you play on, so long as you’re happy with what you’ve got😊😊😊
