“You get to give someone the middle finger every single time you tie” 😅
Best line in the video

I did sailing for 4 years and I've gotten really good at learning new knots and tying them in stressful situations & its dope to think that'll actually hv another purpose in my life than just the enjoyment, if I do end up becoming a surgeon (hopefully:))

I feel like for a demonstration video this could have been done better with filaments that are easier to see, like being thicker.

What he said is the opposite to what the ghostbusters said and I thought that was hilarious 😂

Ghostbusters: DONT CROSS THE STREAMS

Dr.Buck: Dont forget to cross the streams!
Anyway, thanks for another great video!

I love your videos...very inspirational and instructional...I am ahead of myself in my field, but I hope to be a surgeon one day..and I been had the kit...and finally put it to use..Thank you for the tips.. The most complicated knot to tie is the one-handed knot where you use the middle finger. I think the video lasped and I missed the part how it ended up between your ring and middle finger and whether you let go of the end on the suture you hold with your index finger and thumb. Currently, I am in my second semester, I am becoming a scrub tech.

This video is MONEEEYYY. Thanks Dr. Parker. Keep these up, these are fucking dope. Way better than my school. Only one thing, for videos maybe if they could send you some darker suturing material so it's easier to see. The Nylon is super thin.

Fantastic tips, Dr. Parker! I have a few questions about your left one-hand knot, my preferred method. 1) It looked like you started with crossing for a square knot but then switched to like a slip, or was it just less obvious with the faster movements? 2) I think at that moment you said that for polyfilaments, it's better not to do the square knot? 3) Was is the reason for crossing over in the beginning, and does it matter which is on top?

It is so funny. Because I have watched it and done this hundred of times with my eyes closed.

I have a question about research. Does research in pediatric surgery point towards general surgery when it comes to the match?

Hey Dr. Parker. When would you tie using your hands vs tying using your instruments?

The very light colour of the suture made it really difficult for me to see and appreciate the way the sutures crossed and went round your fingers😭😭 I want to learn the hand technique
