The 6 Best High Yield Bank Accounts of 2023- In this video as I go over the top High Yield Savings & Checking Accounts. I also created a free tool you can use to verify the best bank account and offers that work best for you. With the average savings account in the U.S. making 0.13% in interest, there is a large population that stands to improve their financial position by switching banks. The market indications are pointing at a potential recession, and if that occurs each of us should have 3-6 months worth of expenses saved away. If you are going to have your emergency fund in the bank, then you should be making the best interest possible. I attempt to showcase the best bank to open a new account that meets your needs.

I’ve considered SoFi, but the amount of posts I’ve seen about peoples accounts being frozen and amount of time to unfreeze, kind of scares me.

I have a DCU Account. I opened a checking account with DCU and the earned interest is deposited each month and at the end of the yr. I transfer it to a link account and pay a bill with it. I also have a VIO Bank account and it pays a 4.5% on a money market account. I just opened a Capital one CD with 5%.

Brokered CD's. 3-5 months, or more, offer 4.5-4.9% right now. These savings accounts are also great as well and you can also use the CD's at these banks, albeit at lower rates, to pay out monthly directly into your savings should you need the cash for expenses. I would do a mix match approach.

Tried to create a Primis savings account but on step 3 of 4, where you link and fund your account, it's stuck in a loop and doesn't actually select the source account. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks for the insights. The problem is that taxes consume most of the interest paid every year. How do I resolve this?

Again, your videos have clarified so much for me! Thanks so much for all of the helpful information!

Quick question - do you know if Primis covers all ATM fees INCLUDING fees from international ATMs?

I like AMEX. Paying 3.5% with no gotchas. Plus established company which is a real benefit.

Awesome upload. This has been something I’ve been seeking info on as of late and this video was very helpful. PayPal is offering 4.0% in their saving as of now, BUT I’ve been told it’s not very safe? So I’m thinking of moving what money I have in. This video was very helpful. Thank you, sir.

Commenting this before finishing video, do any of these accounts require direct deposits? A lot of my money comes infrequently in large sums. A lot of accounts you only qualify for interest if you get direct deposits every 30 days. I can’t do that but I still want to put money in the savings account and qualify for the high apy%

Opened a CD with Capital One at 5% for 11 months

If a borrower, a bank, pays a high rate, might that not indicate that it has an ugent need for cash? Isn't that a possible warning? Of course, it could have a great financing prospect and needs deposits for increased reserve requirements so that it can participate. Which is it?
