0:50 -- "Now, I'm not a big fan of un-boxing videos, so let's just get everything out." Thumb Up for that. Thank you.

Get security stickers for a different company than the one you are actually using. This makes it so that anyone trying to break in will assume the wrong security system. Some of the security systems use different frequencies for the wireless sensors depending on the company so a jammer for one frequency. If they use the wrong jammer, it will be a little safer for you.

I hit that subscribe button. Thanks for your video. Just bought the 5 alarm kit, 2 cameras and one extra motion sensor for my office & packing room in the warehouse. I know its all reliable on wifi but I like that I can watch who is entering and when. A little sense of safety is all worth it. Will buy some Eufy doorbells next. I like how the app looks and the notifications are great.

Another tip for people: Put your base station on a high surface, particularly on top of a cupboard or something where a potential intruder may not be able to reach. Worked for me and its safer.

Thank you! Informative and adding the real-world experience ending was particularly useful.

Tip: Get Security Stickers for a different company, such example would be using a Eufy System and attach SimpliSafe Security stickers onto your products. This makes it so anyone trying to break into your house and rob you will assume its a different system and thus use a different jammer which will be the wrong one. Makes it safer for you.

This is one reason why I like my Honeywell system or Vista as it was previously named. They call it smash and grab technology. When you open the door and the alarm starts beeping to disarm, it immediately sends a signal to the alarm company saying someone came in the house. If it does not receive a signal that the alarm was disarmed, it considers that a smash and grab and sends out an alert to the homeowner and police if that's how you had it set up.

Thanks for this informative video. I’ve been using the Eufy doorbell and cameras at 2 different houses and I really like that there is no subscription required. I may add the security stuff now that I’ve seen it in action. I also have YoLink water, temp and door sensors for both places. The temp sensors are great for monitoring the house as well as the refrigerator when we are away. They have their own hub and super long range and work great.

I’m happy they gave you an option for the “alarm” sound now, much preferred the ones the cameras would make and was a more ear piercing realistic alarm

For door sensors, the magnet should be attached to the door and the sensor to the frame. This reduces stress over time on the detector when opening and closing the door.

Just unplugging the base station is indeed a bummer. I got the Ring system, and (I might be wrong) both the keypad and the base station should sound an alarm. In addition, the base station is battery powered as backup, so you’d have to physically destroy it. Also, there’s no need to have the base station close to the entrance. The Ring base station is crazy loud, so I just put it in different room. About the doors needing to be closed to activate: that’s the same for Ring. I don’t think that’s a problem, it just makes sure that everything works (sensors connected) before you can arm it. Otherwise, it woulnd’t know if a door is open or the sensor just doesn’t work.

OMG! This video made me nervous. I just ordered this & after watching this & how easy to disarm it by just cutting off the power of the base station 😱

You could also set up a shortcut that will play a sound to your HomePod / speakers if you have any connected that would be unplugging everything before they could even start what there doing

Professional alarm installer here. The alarm timeout delay cannot be longer than 30 seconds per UL standard. Your main entry door should only have a delay. All other zones (window/door contacts, motion sensors, etc) should have no delay and the alarm should go off at an instant. Burglars are more likely to break into a back door or side door. I would be more concerned about losing internet connection as the Eufy alarm does not have cellular backup.

I have the Solocam S40(also called S230, the one with builtin solar panel, spotlight, and siren) outdoor camera with my Eufy home system and that camera's 90db siren will go off if you trip any of my sensors and unplug the homebase unit before it starts screaming, I have it set up that way. Just a tip.

I'm thinking about getting one now a year later has the problem been solved by eufy?
about disconnecting the homebase?

Any updates on the “unplugging base” doesn’t trigger siren? Also. Can the home base 3 be connected to these devices?

Recommend not posting the stickers as it advertises the exact system you use and experienced criminals could research exploits for your system. Better to use generic ones instead of the ones provided by your system. I believe the Lock Picking Lawyer was the one who said it. A suggestion would be for them to have the ability to not have it beep and have add on sirens that could be placed outside.
