This was literally my only concern I had with my purchase of a Eufy doorbell and you've just given me a great solution, cheers

Literally just received and setup my Eufy 340 last night, which I selected after finding your channel (Cyber Monday $125!). Definitely implementing this hack. 👏🏼

Great advice. Hopefully the criminals don’t watch your channel 😎.

Thanks for the video, I was wondering how to remove my neighbors eufy doorbell, I'll be sure to bring a flat, star, pin and torx screw driver when I go for his doorbell.

When I watched your review of the E340 this is exactly what I was thinking. Wish manufacturers would be more proactive about anti theft solutions. They could include a torx screw in the box and anti theft instructions in the manual.

Example, Wyze putting the micro SD card on the outside of the doorbell. Not protecting it with a screw or putting it behind the doorbell. But then again, I'm not surprised security is not at the forefront of Wyze's mind after the data breaches and security controversies they have had.

That’s insanely clever ❤❤❤❤ also screws out a broken gameboy should work also and take a very odd tip so no one will have it. Also I don’t think anyone’s gunna have a paper clip just randomly on they’re person

You can take my doorbell. youll be on 3 other cameras. The doorbell is just there to communicate with people easily.

LOL thank you - this was annoying me so much about the E340. I’m also finding it odd that the bracket has a gap on the back allowing insects/water penetration to the doorbell wiring.

With the ring doorbell, it has 2 security screws on the bottom. I have a ring video doorbell 2nd generation so it has 2 security screws instead of 1.

Hopfully the criminals have no screwdriver with them... :)
I have a second tip. Make sure you turn on cloud storage, FTP or whatever, so that you have the thief in picture. That can be handy for the insurance. :)

Only 1 question what size Torq screw do I use for the Eufy Video Doorbell E340 to secure It like this?

It’s stuck in the mount & won’t come out with the pin or a paper clip or a screwdriver. I guess I am dumb because I returned the first one because it was frozen (no one could get it out—we ended up having to pull the whole thing off the wall and return it.) at this point I’d rather have it stolen 😡😡😡

Great HACK! I will do this… lord knows I have plenty of those screws! 🙌🏼

I used a M2.5 screw and it worked just fine. I think it was 4mm length, 6mm would probably work too.

The pin is supposed to be at the bottom where it’s harder to see

Wyze used to have a Starr bit screw as the security for the doorbell pro, and on the new duo cam, it’s just a simple push button, and the push button. Will this method work for duo cam? I take it it would end up breaking them mount. But I was a little disappointed to see it’s literally just a push button

Mine doesn’t come out as easily and I need to charge it! What do I do?
