Scotty, I'm 19 and have seen this video before. Never did I think that I'd be back watching it. My car went off road into a field and I broke my radiator, compressor, 2 wheels, fog light assembly, and a few scratches. Thank God I'm ok, I thought my airbags were going to go off, I felt all 4 wheels come off the ground, and it was one of the scariest moments of my life. Appreciate people like you putting these videos out there.

Can this method be used for adult wrecks as well?

As someone who was once a teenage driver, I feel for whoever was driving the car. I'm sure they were in a world of shit after this.

I'm happy to say that I've never been in a wreck, and I hope to keep it that way.

I got in a "wreck" last year when I was 16. It messed up a fender an broke a headlight. A repair company wanted $8, 000 to fix it. $5, 500 of that in parts! I got the parts for $100 and had them painted. Total of $1, 800 as I put them on myself. It was the other drivers fault so I won that and had money to pay for insurance, car upgrades and fixes, and pocket money to screw with. I can agree with doing work yourself. No A/C company would touch my car because they knew of the hell that awaits, I rebuilt that myself and probably saved over $3, 000 in labor. It's a 928 so even when they were new the dealers didn't know how to work on them. Great vid as usual Scotty. And People, doing your own work isn't that bad, just start off learning basic things and go from there. Good luck to those who want to do this work themselves.

Reminds me the of the time I ditched my dads 2005 toyota corolla with 600, 000 km . Cost about 70 bucks to fix. Unbent the rad support with a bottle neck jack. Repaired the trans line as they got cut when they pushed against the fan belt. Fixed the lines with a flared piece of brake line and hose clamps . 50 bucks of that being new atf fluid. Rest was for coffee and beer to use my buddy's hoist. Still drove that car for another 4 years after that until it need new struts was worth the 1000 bucks for new coils and struts so now we just use it for parts for my 05 matrix and my brothers gfs sisters 05 corolla.

As a side benefit, you've reduced the weight of the car by not replacing that piece of the frame.

The sawzall is a great tool. I changed the shocks on my Chevy S10 this summer and the nut on the top of the front shocks was seized up. It was rusted right on there. There was no getting it off the conventional way. I expected this, so I broke out my dad's sawzall and hacked the top of those shocks off. It saved me a lot of time trying to get the shock out and it made changing the shocks out on my truck so easy.

1:50 "it may be made in china..."

if you can find something at harbor freight that isn't made in china, I'll give you $100.

Hey, I’ve been a teenage driver for over a year, and I have never gotten into an accident that resulted in intense damage to parts. Once I slid down a icy hill and into a snow pile. No engine parts were affected, and the only thing that got affected was my left-rear wheel. Two guys in a pickup truck helped get my car of the snow. My car had its alignment redone and it drives like a charm.

Not sure replacing the condenser would be my first priority. I think replacing the bumper support would come first. Just sayin'. Otherwise, nice work.

Idk about other teenage drivers... but i tend to drive really carefully. Just fixed up an 03 Mitsubishi Eclipse that i bought for 1000$, looks really clean and would hate to get in a collision.
