Thanks for the review. I bought the Kobo Touch. I had the Kobo reader and was happy with it but stepped on it lol. So thought I would upgrade. The Kobo Touch has very little room for your hands. I don't have very big hands so I was a little disappointed. I saw the Nook at Target and the sides are just a little bit bigger. It fits better in the hand. I'm taking back my Kobo Touch tomorrow and getting the Nook.

The Kobo now also has the ability to save notes for highlighted words/sections, just tried it out in the store today, and the firmware update was dated from Oct 2011 on the display unit.

Totally agree with below comment. Kobo have updated firmware and my glo is so fast now. No lag at all. I owned four paperwhites all had bad faults with either light or screen. The light on my glo is perfect. Very white. I also own the nook st. Find I get a lot of ghosting. Nowhere near as many fonts to chose from on the nook. The nook store does have a lot more books to chose from though.

Nook is best reader hands down. If you have any troubles just use software like calibre to turn pdfs and stuff into epub format... it is also faster at page turning. As for the round fits better in hand? more natural than a square

Just a heads up for the pronunciation of "Avenir", it's french for "future". It's pronounced "A-veh-niir", like "Avenue", but like the word "near" for the ending. You would also roll the 'r' at the end.

I disagree with this. The Nook is almost symmetrical, something that I aesthetically prefer. The Kobo has a large amount of space on the bottom, and a small space on top, which I dislike. And I also love the ergonomics on the Nook.

Bought a kobo glo. It was awful, kept locking up, would not turn off, bookmarks would not delete and so on. I took it back, I'm getting a nook

This is using a very old version of the Kobo software; they have a lot more features now and are far superior to the Nook (I have both so I am qualified to comment)
