So this entire time you've told us to Force Crush the like button, you've known we would do it. Now, none of us can be a Jedi. Was this part of some Sith master plan on your part?

Always thought Anakin used a version of deadly sight called “Pervy Look” when he stared uncomfortably at padme

"What if a Jedi with 'Deadly Sight' could slowly 'Force Heal' someone just by looking at them?" Right before you said that, I was thinking of someone powerfully Force Sensitive using a combo of the two to "burn away" a patient's cancer cells.

Emperor Vitiate was an expert practitioner of Mind Domination

This list of forbidden yet effective abilities should be used to substantiate why Jedi struggle when battling Sith.

When you mentioned a court martial I got this image in my mind of Yoda breaking a Jedis lightsaber and handing it to him while the others turn their backs

It's always confused me why Force lightning was a dark side ability. Seems like that type of thing would be *extremely* useful against droids or any kind of machinery for that matter. They should make the same exception for Force lightning as they did for Force crush. When it comes to living things using it as a taser is a brilliant idea! Never thought of that before.

I think the Jedi order is corrupt and honestly I agreed when Sidious said they keep the best training and skills from you...every ability could be used for good, you pointed out GREAT uses and you don't have to kill anyone as long as you learn control. The order is hypothetical and I don't think any abilities should be off limits because if their Grand Master is good enough to be a Grand Master they shouldn't fear the force at all...just my opinion. Grey Jedi make more sense I'm with Ashoka, probably spelled that wrong, when she gets to battle Vader, and she says the dopest line EVER "I am no Jedi." I loved it, chills all over. That duel was sick. Anyway that's my 2 cents I'd love to hear if anyone else feels different or the same!

Deadly sight is such an awesome power!! The way I see a light side variant happening is again a Plo Koon situation where the user just weakens the power enough to make it non-lethal or maybe somehow heal the person they see, but that would be require a lot more energy and focus to do. So here are 3 ideas for a variant of force sight for those loving long stories. Plus one of these is an even more powerful variant

Variant 1: force glare: a slightly weaker variant of force sight that is meant to stagger the foes instead of nearly killing them. However it would only be used as a means to escape if your going to lose or die and it is very easy to turn this into deadly sight

Variant 2: gorgon glaze (I know it’s an odd naming choice, but it rings quite well like Rancor rush): a far more devastating attack that is said to make the opponent be reduced to a hollow husk, almost like they’ve turned to stone. Yet there has been many accounts of people being reduced to nothing within minutes

Variant 3: healing eye: a variant that was made when a Jedi who lost both arms decided to heal a random bloke with his sight. By tapping into the light side of the force while staring he was able to heal this smuggler of any injury he has obtained from some bounty

With all these variants aside the question remains: how can deadly sight be adapted into a light side ability? Who knows as obviously there are many ways someone can do so and what way you think can work is clearly up to whatever the force wants us to do. Be safe from the Sith fellow practitioners of the force and may the force be with you

A Light Side version of "Deadly Sight" could work more along the lines of using one's Rightious Anger (Not the same Hate the Dark Side feeds on) To basically paralize and incapasitate an opponent non-lethally. Like if one were to see a murderer about to kill someone they would use the ability (I'll call it Judgement Sight in homage to Master Plo) and cause said murderer to be overwhelmed by the moral weight of his actions and simply dropps to his knees passivly. Not harmed but also unwilling to resist arrest as they know they diserve to be punished.

I always thought the Jedi Mind Trick should’ve been a No no for Jedi & seems like something the Sith would use but we never see Sith use it in canon

Some of these powers could’ve been beneficial to the Jedi

Didn't Windu, Anakin and Obi-Wan use mind domination against Cad Bane during the holocron arc? A stronger mind that could destroy your mind is exactly what they said in that episode

Instead of Deadly Sight what about Healing Sight? With every Darkside Ability there should be an equal and opposite equivalent version of it.

Padawan: "Ass-to-mouth?"

Yoda: "No. Never go ass-to-mouth, do you."

I think Force Crush, as long as it is against either droids or weapons. Like Force Crush an E-Web blaster. Or nozzles on a ship. Objects, not people.

I think all Force abilities should be explored in moderation.

Force Domination is tricky. On the one hand, it would be easy to abuse and fall to the dark side. No question. But on the other hand, think of how many fights they could end before they start. For example, if someone is about to blast a jedi, the jedi could just command that person to drop their gun. No blood shed.
