Right-wing influencers turn to live streaming platform Twitch to reach their supporters

Many far-right influencers are turning to Twitch, a live streaming video site, to share falsehoods about the 2020 election and COVID-19. According to The New York Times, Twitch has allowed some influencers to rake in thousands of dollars. One streamer made at least $26,000 in subscriptions alone. Kellen Browning, a reporter who covers tech and the video game industry for the Times, joined CBSN's Lana Zak to discuss.

I signed up to Twitch a few months ago because a company I did business with, OPT Telescopes was sponsoring an astronomy channel and I wanted to check it out. This made me take a look at the site and I realized it was a bastion of hate and lies . I checked a couple of the channels out and I couldn't believe the conversations about Qanon and how some people should die ect.. I then tried to delete myself from the site and they said they would make it so I wouldn't receive e-mail and notifications but I would still have an account. This is after I wanted removed from the site. I told them I did not want to be involved with a site that supports hate and lies and preys on weak minded people.
