Gym ambience before smart phones is the best. These days, you see plenty of folks doing one easy set, followed by 10 minutes of scrolling on their phones. People are training a lot longer in the gyms these days, but far less productive since 80% of the time is spent in training their eyes and thumb.

45 seconds is solid if you’re in good shape but the weight he was pushing and able to only rest that long is just insane I’d need at least 2 minutes for my heavy sets

I been training for 3 years now, getting big and training hard. I train in my university gym with 2 other pals, both stronger than me, and we lock tf up training. I found that amazing, we don't even talk much between sets, only some fast comments about the executions.

Mine is about the same. 45 to 60 secs. It is very important to block out all noise and distractions. Keep focus on your lift, cardio, and get out...

30-45 second rest time is how us old school folks do it. Put in the work and get in and get out.

I remember him talking about his rest time when he was still competing and always kept it 45-60 seconds. Anything more than that I felt like I was getting bored.

Remember fellas he is on gear and he openly admits it too, for us average folks 2-3 minutes rest is not only normal but required.
