No, when damping ratio is less than one it is underdamped case. Eigenvalues are not real and you get oscillations. Come on guys, making such mistakes with your notes in front of your eyes just shows that you do not understand how to solve this differential equation and lack of understanding of this system in general. Especially I liked when the girl looked in her notes to check what case was that and named the wrong one. Also critical damping jumps out of your characteristic equation solution, it does not appear before. Same as damping ratio. Sorry for being grumpy but it is the common approach nowadays among students. Trying to memorize math instead of trying to understand it. I hate this. Take this as constructive criticism :)
