Considering how well put together the story of this game is - they have a plan. You are overthinking it. The story is gonna be just fine.

Thematically I think it makes perfect sense. There has to be countless other less-advanced planets like Belobog who don’t have access to spaceships and all that, and one can’t expect those planets (like Belobog) to have any meaningful ties with bigger factions like the Xianzhou or the IPC, and by proxy, all those countless unnamed characters won’t have the chance to mingle amongst eachother which, imo, is just realistic and makes sense.

The thing about the different locations and all that imo is that they serve as a means for the trailblazer or other characters on the Astral Express to grow and develop their own powers in a manner not dissimilar to how it happened in Belobog, since in reality they are the ‘main characters’ of the game’s story. All the adventures and stuff, from a story standpoint, is for their growth and development - for the Trailblazer in Belobog, it was to gain experience on trailblazing. For Dan Heng, it could possibly be overcoming some past trauma he has with Blade and fixing his broken ties with the Xianzhou. Dunno how March’s is gonna work, but the point remains that the planets primarily serve as plot devices to facilitate their character growth.

I don’t see a point (except for noncanon events) where the story would need to slot past characters into the plot as a main focal point - maybe a cameo or two at best - and even moreso why the game might need to stress the interactions between side characters.

They are learning how to use the phone, around lvl 45 is where they start to learn it. Also clara when she appears on the express she says that she might start using her phone for pictures to bring them back to the dara center that svarog holds, which means that she already knows how to use it. Pela already knows. Bronya is next i think.

idk, but knowing steele banner sales hoyo will try to do something to connect everything together lore wise. most likely a IPS or space lirye character will probably pop up for some reason in a Jarlio VI event quest.

The characters have phones so they probably would use that. Or maybe some other way. They prolly have a plan so let's wait and see
