In this video, I show you how to build a simple on/off timer with the Arduino Uno. You may use this for an aeroponic system.

Request the code for the Arduino videos here. You will receive it within minutes.

You're the best arduino tutorial so far.

Great! Very clear and easy to understand!

How difficult would it be to have multiple spray cycles based on time of day? Example 2s on/10 min off from 5am to 5pm and 2s on/20min off from 5pm to 5am.

I’ve been trying to do something like this to build a simple darkroom timer. Basically, set a time in seconds on a display, then pass power during the countdown, then turn off when the countdown ends. Is that something I could do as a beginner?

Nice informative/educational vid :) I think the project would be useful for controlling a mains pump in a hydroponic system but for a geniune aeroponic system that runs on dc voltage it would be easier and cheaper to buy a dedicated solid state cycle timer.

This seems to be what I need to setup my pumps, but you have this other video "Pump timer- Arduino 9 (iAVs, aquaponics and hydroponics)" that has a different kind of code. I understand the differences, but I want to know if there is some advantage to use the "Pump timer" code of the other video vs the "Simple on/off" code in this video. Maybe there is some advantage with the other code that I am not seeing?

THANK YOU!!!

I love the video but have a doubt. I am fixing a linear inverter LG refrigerator and managed to get a solid 12v into a relay to power the compressor but the relay never shuts off the compressor because of the way the refrigerator is programed to never shut off the refrigerator. I wanted to install a Arduino uno with a 10-15min timer so the compressor works for 15min shuts off for 15min and so forth so the compressor does not break down on me. How can I pass the 12v through the Arduino so it shuts on and off that current connected to the relay?

Mooi Vid Bru - My proposed use is to drive a mechanical clock pendulum regulator - for which I need a 0.6876 total duration with a 1-2 milli sec pulse that drives an electro magnet and the remainder OFF - so on for say 0.2000 and off for 0.4876. Can this timer do this?
