joe isn't a chef; he 's a food critic who inherited a place in the industry. The way he looks down at people when he doesn't have a particle of their talent has always been offensive.

Joe is not a chef.. his mom is. Only reason why he has a Michelin Star is because of his mother and Mario Batali. If there's anyone in the food industry that just doesn't get how food works, it's Joe hands down. If Gordon Ramsay and Aaron Sanchez both agree that garlic bread goes well with an Italian dish then try it; at least. Joe said "there's no such thing as garlic bread in Italy" well he's wrong. The origin of garlic bread actually originated from southern Italy; sad that an Italian doesn't know his own country's history. Most Italians I know (I'm Italian myself) always use garlic bread with their dishes because it just marries well. There's nothing like toasted bread smothered in olive oil topped with handmade ravioli or pasta parm.. they really are a match made in heaven.

Never feel bad for Dorian. The only reason she technically was able to compete on Master Chef is because she never actually used her culinary arts degree and Cordon Bleu-level training to embark on a professional career. She married wealthy and stayed at home for 20 years modifying recipes her mother crafted with the elite world-class culinary techniques she was taught in school. She's one of the biggest ringers in the history of the show.

Another uncommon scenario which judges disagree with each other is a dinner service which Chef Ramsay asked Chef Elliot and Joe where they would put Christine. Joe's answer is "definitely coat check room" which sparked an argument between him and Chef Ramsay because the famous multi-Michelin starred chef was really disappointed with Joe's answer although both judges raised valid points. Chef Ramsay argued in a chef's perspective while Joe argued in a businessman's perspective, but Joe was disrespectful that time which caused even Chef Ramsay to argue with him.

These fights are probably the best part of a reality cooking show because otherwise the show isn’t as good.

I like this insight. Society has double standards. They think being a housewife is fine, but being a househusband is unacceptable. What if the reason a man chose to be a househusband to take care of the house and their family is because he wants his wife's dream career to come true, particularly if the wife's dream career involves going out more often such as being a flight or ship crew?
