This might be one of the few times Joe was actually nice to the contestants.

Imagine telling one of the best chefs in the world that he’s wrong, implying you know more about food than he does

There's a difference between confidence and arrogance admit when your not at your best take the advise and improve on it that's how you improve your talent

If it had been Alvin Leung, he would have told him "Don't argue, this is Masterchef America, and you give me this?".

In Hell’s Kitchen I learned that one major faux pas is to talk back to Gordon Ramsay, comparing your dish with someone else’s with full confidence while doing so is a league on its own

MasterChef US hardly gives constructive criticism, they usually question the contestant's existence

You can tell by his body language that his ego is just too much

What's crazy is the fellow contestants from this season said Christian( dude who argued ) is a pretty cool guy in real life

Suzy talks a big game but her attitude is no better than Christian’s. It must have killed her inside that Alejandra got called up instead of her, especially with an Indian dish.

I think it’s nonsensical that Jennifer won though when she had problems with the eggplant and Gordon was struggling to find faults with Adrien’s dish.

This is why I love older seasons even the top 3 they point out what could have been better. It’s still the best of that round but it still had room for improvement.

Later seasons they just say how perfect everything is very rarely will they critique the top dishes in seasons you see now.

Which is a shame because how can you continue to do better unless you know what you’re doing wrong?

I'd love to see a number of the arrogant cooks from throughout masterchef go head to hear: Christian and Suzy (season 2), Ryan and Tali (season 3), Krissi (season 4), Cutter (season 5), and Jeff (season 8)

Joe is suddenly not being mean enough when we needed him to be mean. What a wuss.

Judges: "No meat or fish, therefore the dish is garbage!"

Christian: "I disagree."

Judges: "We're just giving you constructive criticism!"

I don't understand why the judges lit Christian up like that, and I can see why he was taken aback and reacted like he did. I watched this clip first and was so puzzled by the interaction I went and watched the entire episode to see if there was some missing context. Nope. None. Christian simply said he was making a ratatouille and stuffing some peppers with it and some rice and somehow the judges acted like he graped one of their daughters. I don't get it.
