This reminds me of a fic I unfortunately read again not that long ago. It was a story where Talzin cursed Palpatine to make him hungry. Palps had taken delivery of a sample of the bio-chips. His hunger caused him to start eating the chips, glass plates and all.

I have determined the horror trope that hits me the hardest is being driven to a desperate need for something will hurt and slowly kill the character.
