Thank you, this helped a lot... I have been away from nursing school for a few years now and returned in January to finish my RN degree, and our dosage calculations test is tomorrow, but I pretty much forgot all of the math over the last few years, lol. I appreciate the help more than you know. This has been a great refresher, it's all coming back to me now.

If you are use to 12mg x 1kg x 22lbs x 5ml = 1320 Divided = 3ml It make sense that 24/3 =8hour so 1ml per dose.
kg 2.2lbs 1 200mg = 440

I think it would help if you didn’t skip steps so we can understand how you derived at answer. The last problems you didn’t show dividing the Lbs to Kg is 10 then you multiply times 12 equals 120.

The question where the answer comes out to 20.45 and we round to the nearest tenth, how did it become 20.5 instead of 20.4

why are you converting prior to adding other information this is confusing and it is not taught this way in the text books

lisaevitt

Hmm this actually was more confusing than helpful i think its too many additional steps then you get lost along the way especially problem number 2. It went way too fast after finding 40mg per dose.

you missed steps so i ended up not getting what you did. please don't skip steps
