IV drip flow rates (drop factor) with drops per minute (gtts/minute) dosage calculation sample problems for nursing students, nurses, and NCLEX review.

In this video, Nurse Sarah demonstrates how to solve several dosage calculation problems that require solving for drops per minute (gtts/minute).

A drop factor is the number of drops it takes for 1 ML of solution to be created. You can find the drop factor on the IV tubing package. To solve, you'll want to use the drip factor calculation formula.
