What kind of informative video is this? Like everyone else has said, how could you ignore the step of how to remove the serpentine belt?

The most important part is the belt tensioner. SmH

Correction: You can take the alternator off yourself easily by removing top bolt and rotating down. the belt will come off without damage. But putting the belt back on is more difficult. That requires one person below with tensioner and belt already on top, or 2 better yet people: One below on tensioner and one above making sure the belt is on correctly. Either way, someone has to be on the tensioner below (14mm box wrench only, sockets won't fit its too thin). The longer the wrench the better, you will have to apply pressure from below and its tight. I purchased a very thin Craftsman tensioner tool (fits sockets) won't fit on tensioner. The frame to tensioner bolt access on pulley, its very narrow, will only fit an 14mm open end wrench or preferably a box wrench! Again you won't be able to get a socket on this plus a wrench into the socket!

Decent video except not properly showing belt tensioner/removal/replacement of serpentine belt. It does not happen that easily!
I also prefer getting the OEM alternator rebuilt at a local shop if possible, as a far better alternative to buying an unknown quality rebuilt.

This is helpful. Thanks! Just replaced my alternator on my Altima. Removal is the hardest part, belt is not too bad, just annoying.

Best how to do video there is only suggestion I would add is showing how to release the tension from the tensioner but that’s super easy to locate and can also easily YouTube another video of where to locate the tensioner and how to release the tension other than that 10/10 video 👍🏽

He had problems with the belt that was probably embarrassing so he didn’t upload it. I’m going through the same thing right now.

The video was helpful but we all missed the part about replacing the belt .
So there is an idler as in all vehicles today that is in a really tight place below just to the left almost center a 14 mil bolt
Note it is in a very tight spot for guys with big hands
Thanks for the video
