Now that's a power trio. Triumph is a criminally underrated band.

Rik Emmett is one of the best guitarist/vocalists to ever grace the stage. Gil Moore, the drummer is also an incredible vocalist and sang many of Triumphs songs.

That live se at the 83 US festival, by Triumph, for me, is one of the greatest sets ever by a rock band.

You can watch the entire performance at the festival. It is truly worth it.

I was in that crowd! Never will forget that day.I was 14 and it was 118 degrees that day and well worth the sunburn!Summer of 83 in my hometown of San Bernardino Ca.

Rick Emmett's voice was amazing live. Like Rob Halford, Freddie Mercury, Devin Townsend and other legendary performers always have their hand picked live sound engineer, to make the most of their incredible voices. Days before backing tracks and 3 musicians filled stadiums with one opener for years. Thank God they came along before the death of the American DJ getting to play what they want - at least after midnight - before national algorythms and industry only playlists.

I hope everyone realizes this was a 3 PC band. No auto tune, no pre-recorded background. THIS is PURE TALENT

By far one of the greatest rock bands in history!

Rick is sorely underrated on guitar and definitely vocals. Dude was unreal in live performances!

I don't want to be a drag, but nobody makes music like this these days. You can say what you want, but there's no denying that the music in the 80's, 70's, 60's and even 90's was something special and magnificient.

During a few years in the late 70's and early 80's triumph was at the top of the game. Yeah way before your time. Good reaction.

First of all, thank you so much for reacting to Triumph, as I feel they are one of the more underappreciated bands from the late 70s thru mid 80s. Rik Emmett was undoubtedly one of the best male rock vocalists of his era, and perhaps of all time. His skills on the guitar weren't too shabby either. The reason you probably didn't hear them is because they were overshadowed somewhat by Rush, the other, more famous Canadian power trio. Triumph has a lot of bangers though. Hold On, Magic Power, Fight the Good Fight, Blinding Light Show, et. al.

I was lucky enough to be a high school senior at San Pedro High at the time and I was in that crowd of 350, 000 people for the most amazing all-day concert I've ever been to in my life. Little did I know on that day that I would be inspired to have my own rock and roll magazine in Cleveland for six years and that I would interview Triumph multiple times, as well as most of the other artists performing that day -- Motley Crue, Judas Priest, Van Halen and Scorpions. Those were the good old days! So glad to have lived when I did. Long love Rock And Roll.

Triumph with Gil Moore & Rik Emmet sharing vocal duties doubled their range to insane heights !! Triumph was a Rock and Roll Machine

Holy crap you have no idea how happy I am that Triumph is finally getting the love they deserve. A top tier, Canadian trio with nothing but talent. They never reached the heights they deserved. It’s so great to see them getting some recognition after all these years.

Another 3 piece Canadian band (Rush being the first). They totally rock, and, the drummer does lead vocals on some songs as well. Check out "When the lights go down".

Greg! WolfHunterz! Thanks so much for the reaction! My Favorite Band! Triumph consistently delivered positive messages through music to help us kids in the 80s get through life. ‘Hold On’, ‘Magic Power’, ‘Fight the Good Fight’, ‘Never Surrender’... (just to name a few;) Thanks Again!!
