Her Grandma With Dementia Wanted To Go Home

My mom said that she's ready to go home and she was ready for about a year. I miss her terribly but I'm glad that my parents are forever home together. ❤❤.

My husband asks me to take him home a lot, even though he is home. But he wants to leave right away, even in the middle of the night. He becomes very anxious, and agitated. I try to put him off as much as possible, like tell him we are going in the morning, etc. I run out of excuses!

Great job making this. Young people do not realize, home = heaven, the one place where we are truly home. When the person is talking about going home I believe it is a big sign to others that this person may not live much longer. They are speaking of a deep profound Longing to nit be here anymore. A sign of being tired, exhausted, coming to the end of this journey.

I faced the same issue with my mom before she passed away last year.

My mom keep saying she wanted to drive so instead of keep telling her she don’t k ow how to anymore, I got her a driving school. She actually did very well! Even with dementia from that day own she remembered and never asked again. I asked her one day and she told me she don’t know how to drive. I truly think they understand somethings just on a lower level. I don’t like saying what you can’t do and the constant correcting, no one wants to feel like they are losing it. I think they know and are aware but trying to reassure themselves but we keep correcting them and that’s so unfair. Just sit talk and go along with the conversation. I have a blast

People often say they want to go home before they die. They see passed loved ones come to get them. Some feel the need to pack a few things. 'Home' is the 'other' side.

My grandmother also had dementia she lived with my mother and I and she would tell us constantly she wanted to go home to her daddy she was wanted to go see her daddy she loves her daddy😊 she would definitely do some odd things such as using the restroom outside in the backyard one time she had gotten some paper towels and picked it up and put it in a glass that we drink out of and then she put it in my storage building well that next summer I went outside to get in my storage building and there is his awful death smell well I'm digging through my storage building looking for what it is and I'll finally see this cup that has a paper towel kind of poked in it and I put my nose right up to it to smell it to see if that's what it was and oh dear lord so she gave us a lot of laughs I miss her more than she'll ever know

My dear! Why are you SO OBSESSED with Dementia!!! You are afraid of soon belonging to this group of unfortunate human beings?? I would suggest that you become a positive thinker and an optimistic person !! While at the same time training your mind to become a really positive thinker!! And studying in detail about the Universal Law of Attraction: that says, that WE ATTRACT WHAT WE MOSTLY THINK!! Either positive, or negative!! ❣️❣️❣️❣️
