Trust me listen to this guy. Not only does he know the Art of Wing Tsun and many others, but more importantly, he looks like he is willing to teach and share knowledge.

Very true. I have had more than one MA instructor explain this to me, but it wasn't until I was violently assaulted by a 270lb former karate champion that it really sunk in: he made a very concerted effort to control my head, and when we were on the ground, to smash my throat and head into the ground, off-center--this made it incredibly difficult to orient myself. I literally couldn't see what was going on, breathe, etc but b/c my head was in an unexpected position/orientation, even my interoception or knowledge of where my body was got entirely screwed up. "The Head Is King!". This is very important. p.s. never let someone poke their finger into your chest or your forehead....when someone's fingers get in your face you turn away, move back, get off balance. Don't let them do that. This is a way of controlling your head, controlling your posture and equilibrium without brute force. If anyone pokes me in the face again, I will simply assume that I'm in the middle of an assault ritual (I can think of no other rational explanation, honestly), and will be striking him immediately. This is rather complicated legally, but I don't care: better arrested than dead or severely injured

Neck cranking is supreme, MMA legend Eric Paulson (who did jun fan and wing chun too) talks about how useful head/neck control like this actually is!

"Where the head goes, the body follows''... Aikido uses the same concept of controlling the head to control the opponent. Good video!

Yup. We get a lot in Vingtsun from southern mantis especially that kind of move. Our first technique on the jong we LOP SAO behind the head. Right there you can turn and twist. Awesome choice of topics. 🙏😁💯

Great points as always. I always like when a teacher is just the right amount of rough with students -- especially younger or female students -- because it shows trust and a seriousness about conveying a true understanding of the consequences of the technique. How can you understand the way a technique works if you don't understand the way it feels to the target? They're in your class to learn. If you soft-pedal the learning because they're young or female, then you're both insulting their seriousness and short-changing their learning.

Could you do a video about how to tell if a wing chun teacher/school is legit?

my grandma did the same thing but it was only a force to give a peck on the cheek. She always won.

A division one wrestler is not going to get hit in the throat. In fact any striker wouldn’t either. First they wouldn’t let you get that close

You are Serbian, so likely you are orthodox. I was wondering, is that saint Sofia (Aghia Sofia) church on your wall? And what is that red-white flag next to it?
Is that a type of Serbian flag? Thanks.
