I think videos "How to speak fast and understand natives" are some of the most useful videos on whole YouTube. Marina, you're the greatest English teacher I've ever seen😍

I'm a native English speaker, but whenever I hear a word I don't know, I always google it. There's no shame in learning, so always feel free to ask the person who said the word, or just google it depending on the situation. Honestly its the best way I know to expand your vocabulary.

"can" usually sounds like "cuhn" in "I cuhn help you" and "can't" usually sounds like the proper way to pronounce "can".

As a native American English speaker, I'm glad the algorithm brought me here! I enjoy talking to people from different places, but when I talk to a non-Native speaker, I sometimes worry I'll offend them by seeming patronizing if I slow down. This series has been helpful to pinpoint where I might be confusing people, especially when I get excited.
I would be interested to hear what your take is regarding regional accent variations in America. To me, the L.A. area tends toward a generic accent, but many parts of America have very distinct accents of their own - especially up and down the East Coast. I imagine this makes it even more difficult for non-Native speakers to understand if they move to a different area in the U.S. At any rate, it would be a fascinating topic for exploration if you are so inclined.

As a native English speaker it is so interesting to learn that we change most, if not all T's to D's
