I'm not sure how effective a "simulation" is with a dog. It's like how service dogs know when an owner is about to have an episode before it happens. It's more than what they see, it's a sense they have humans don't. I'm fairly sure most dogs know the difference between pretending and the real deal. Pretending just makes them curious, if that.

Both dogs care but showed it in different ways. Sky did care but she knew you were MESSING AROUND although she was still keeping her eyes on the situation (body language). As for kakoa her concerns were more obvious and expressive... But she also sensed it wasn't serious stuffs.
