Chrollo looks better in 1999 as well. His face being more round is faithful to the manga. He isn't supposed to have a sharp jaw line like Hisoka.

I like both. I was biased at one point with the 1999 one because of nostalgic reasons. But the more I continued watching the 2011 one I appreciated the series much more. So now I love them both equally for different reasons.
