"In any kind of field, when you start out as a beginner, there is always something that can replace you really quickly. You've got to get beyond that first, second, third year of experience before you start becoming really, really valuable. So just strive for that".

I love this! New subscriber now. Thanks!

TLDW: Why learn to code? 1st guy - money, 3rd guy - money, 2nd guy - vengeance (with a side of money)

It sure is “fun” for YouTubers. It is definitely fun to play with things but that doesn’t pays the bills.
What pays the bills is an actual
Job. And solving hard problems at work where people might not be as nice and there is a lot of pressure to get things done, it sometimes isn’t that “fun”.

I’ve been a dev for six years now and at this point, I hate this job so much. It’s not even about money. I find the programming industry to be soulless, and as someone who grew up in the projects, I don’t get along with 90% of the folks, I’ve worked with for one reason or another. I always tell people who asked me if they should do it or not, that they should they don’t have a passion or something that they love doing. Just because maybe if I didn’t love writing and making music, there would’ve been space in my soul for me to have a passion for this shit

Souless industry, don't plan for a long stay. Millk the cow! Don't get stuck in the hamster wheel. Have an exit plan and a hard limit to stay in the industry until you're 40. The industry is souless and cutthroad. Lots of backstapping, ego filled idiots who think they are the smartest people in the room. Be like a mercenary, do the job, get paid, put yourself first. Not the company you work for. Remember: money first! Once you have acquired some wealth invest in something of your own so you can still enjoy your remaining good years how you want.

I see a lot of people here talking about how they hate this field and their jobs. I've been in this field for some years now, starting as a simple SKID and progressing to an actual engineer in a great managerial position. The key is to work on projects and niches you enjoy. For example, when I took my first jobs, I was building websites. I hated it so much; I thought maybe programming was not really for me and that I didn't actually like it. Things changed when I switched to cybersecurity and hacking. I needed to learn even more to get into that niche, but that, I actually loved doing. I currently still do it, researching malware programs and vulnerabilities for different cloud infrastructures.

The guy at 9:15 seemed to be a genrelist because when he was naming the intricate details beside HTML, CSS and java script he couldn't even speak the name of frameworks and libraries ... I have not watched his videos but 221k subscribers !, Seriously is not deserving

I thought I’d be good at coding but right now I can only manage to understand things like html and css and a teeny bit of js for a website I’m making

You are YouTubers not software engineers

It makes you wonder if they are just implicitly trying to promote coding so they don’t lose subscribers 😂

Thank you, for this video. I was losing motivation for the past few days, because of rapid AI and the thing that i was just getting started, but this fuels me hopes on how and if i put in the work, i could get the outcome.
