I’m in PA school but the number of times I’ve been harassed by pre-meds and med students have been disheartening (granted it only happened online, not in real life). I don’t understand why people have the need to put others down and feel superior. Getting into PA school and becoming a physician assistant is a great accomplishment and takes hard work and dedication. The toxicity needs to stop.

Listen guys PA NP MD you’ll all have great autonomy and be making solid incomes. This is your choice not anyone else’s you’ll be working this job so it’s up to you to decide what kind of lifestyle you want for yourself and no one person can decide this for you.

Its funny that you mention that. When you working in the hospital especially in specialties in the ER it's just like everyone knows their role and you just go from there. As long as you are willing to learn you will most likely have a decent work environment to do the job.

I really needed this. Ive been wracking my brain because im finishing nursing school to be an ER nurse. I want to be a provider in ER or Trauma. Ive been questioning if I should just become an MD because I feel like I’m taking the “easy way out” by going NP because it’s shorter. I am trying to figure out why it bothers me to not have Dr in my name when I finally become a medical provider. I just I guess deeply feel that ppl in general respect doctors more.

Thank you! It’s like a battle of immaturity.

Hi Ahmed!
Please make a short on how you respond to physicians who look down on NPs. I need a pep talk LOL. I get so bothered by the ego 😤
Im also a NP and just started and have been practicing in internal medicine for a few months now..
Looking forward to your thoughts!
