Why would you ‘come into trouble’ this is nonsense. If you need to stop and recharge, you do. No one takes an ICE car and drives it until it runs out of fuel and complains about the range. My current PHEV does less on a tank that ourQ4 (currently on order, due in June) But the Q4 will cost me £20 a month to charge against £100 for petrol.

It was raining did you turn the heating on? I think heating or Ac should be on because in the Uk most of the time heating remains on..just to get an idea of its real range in winter as most of the days it’s cold weather. Thanks

My Q4 is a “50 sportback” and it will def NOT get anywhere near that even driving like an old lady, using regen down hills etc. however i don’t charge it to 100% because the manual states that significantly deteriorates battery life. So much that there’s actually a “charge to only 80%” feature that comes factory set on the car.

Q4 Black Edition 45 (which has quite a lot more power than the 40) is one of only 2 cars on my EV short list. I generally really dislike SUVs and crossovers, but the Sportback Q4 is really nice. The other car is the more conventional BMW I4 M Sport Pro, both very different cars.

It will never replace my fun ICE car, but as a daily proposition, I like the idea of it - my only hesitation is the UK public charger network which is unreasonably over priced and unreliable. Some motorway service stations don't even have chargers at all!

Tech Pack on Q4 includes camera but yes - I think it should be mandatory in all new cars like it is in the US as it's a good safety device as well as a convenience option.

Enjoyed your review but you need to curb the adverts, especially the long ones. Follow guys with 2 million plus subs and they’re reducing the length of adverts now to 5 sec intervals.

I live in the New Forest! Those were some lovely shots of the place, it’s stunning in the summer. I really want a Q4, but they are incredibly difficult and expensive to get hold of currently. Might wait for the face lifted ID3 in 2023. I found the Q4s quality to be lacking compared to my A6, but they are different classes of car which I understand, but my a6 was under £34k brand new in 2019. Oh how things have changed to quickly 😂

Reversing camera should be standard better . This car more sturdy than Japanese, Chinese and American. So I bought Q4 E-TRON 50. TFSI. Loving it so far. I've got reversing camera,

Well after I have my eye operations to remove cataracts I was thinking along the lines of an EV over an ICE but hopefully by then Renault 5e will be on forecourts and that would suit me down to the ground. This Audi no thanks - too costly to buy and to service.

The seats in the Q4 are not good for a tall person as head rests are fixed- very annoying

I have an E Tron 50 and the range is awful! It is an excellent car except for the horrible range.

The range is only that much because you didn't have on your heat or AC.
