How to Grow Tomatoes Indoors - Part 1 Setup

Vic explains our method to grow tomatoes indoors in this first video installment. We go in depth on our setup for a successful indoor garden that yields healthier plants. We've dialed in the varieties and a simple method for you to have a wonderful INDOOR tomato plant throughout the year, or just in the winter. You can harvest these cherry or larger tomatoes for several months. This is doable people! You only need a small growing area and a few minutes a week to keep the tomatoes coming.

I just purchased a couple of 33" ones for lettuce and strawberries and stuff, now I'm inspired to purchase a couple of the 17' ones for tomatoes and cucumbers. The senior center I belong to has a greenhouse and is just getting into hydroponics. Having a winter garden will be a great way to save money.

I do have a question. You talk about about your nutrient water, what kind of nutrient water do you use. Every time you water, do you only use nutrient water? Or do you water some days and nutrient water other days?

Do you use the hydroponic fertilizer when you water before you plant your tomatoes in the larger containers or do you not fertilize until they are transplanted?

Thank you for your videos, they are very informative. I have tried indoor tomatoes and usually can only make it half way through. I am going to your site for a light or 2 or possibly more, I would like 3 tomatoes. I have a few questions. Do the lights daisy chain together, and I can't find the buckets online, how much media do they hold. Lastly, does the coco coir vermiculite method have better results than just a hydroponic bucket? Just curious because I am going to mimic your method exactly. Awesome videos. Glad I subscribed
