I like tragic villians, but MCU shouldnt be scared to have very bad villians. Kang is perfect for this roll imo, it sets us up for the actual consequences.

Killmonger and Zemo should be the standard for all MCU tragic villains.

I just watched quantumania and I think avengers secret wars will just be the new avengers fighting multiple kangs from different multiverses

in lego marvel superheroes 2 kang wants to join all universes together in one and take over the world. this might be the same case in the mcu as well

I hate tragic villains, since people tend to forget that they are supposed to be villains.

Kang is in love with Ravonna. She does in every timeline he meets her. So he sewed her essence into time promising himself that he would always find her in every time and multiverse in an attempt to be with her. And when he fails and deems that world no longer a necessity he destroys that reality or multiverse and continues his search. In the most recent comics it's turned into a very crazy love story. Some scenarios she joins him or runs away but no matter what he always loses her. It's just like the trailer says: we both lost time. Kang is from a world where there's no need to do anything as disease is obsolete and there's no war or conflict. He used the technology of his time to travel back and explore and discovers himself in different forms

It's literally stated in comics that he became evil because his timeline was to peaceful

I hate the “tragic story” villains that the MCU makes…where are the flatout psychopaths that just want to conquer or destroy the universe?

I just want a purely evil villain for once

That was the whole story of the Variant The One that Remains. In the Loki series. The was keeping the other Variants from taking power. He even explains the Kang Wars.

Honestly I'm tired of trying to give reason to be evil to the villians. some people are just messed up and can't be reasoned with. Thanos was fine as someone who just wanted to litterally court death, Kang is fine as a timeline conquer

This was done with the Kang in Loki already. It would be better for this version to be the one that the Kang we knew couldn't beat and trapped him in the quantum realm. This would mean this Kang has been trapped here for thousands of years and is very dangerous even for the full might of the avengers.

The thing is, marvel can take the tragic villain route and not pass off Disney with a not family friendly villain, but Kang is still a conqueror so the writers can use undertones to fit in how Kang is supposed to be in the comics.

Thanos in the mcu was made out to be someone who wants to rid the universe of overpopulation, and resource shortages, but in the comics Thanos killed in the untold trillions plus, just to make a bouquet of souls for the cosmic entity known as death. MCU Thanos still made a bouquet of souls for death, but it was not the direct objective.

I personally like a more RUTHLESS Kang! But the comic version of him is WAAAAY too damn confusing! They need to simplify him for the movies .

I think marvel overuses the tragic villain I would just lien to see someone who is straight evil for no purpose just likes to make people suffer for no apparent reason it would be a nice change of pace

People shouldn’t forget that villains can also be genuinely bad people With no other motive than insanity or personal gain like dark side

I mean there's an underlying theme going in this Saga of Parents and Kids being separated wether it's Wanda not being able to be with her kids, America being separated from her mothers, Gorr having her kid die... So maybe Kang can't be with his son and his motivation comes from something related to that.

I want my villains to be true villains not anti-heros

It’s that what the kang we saw was? He got rid of and prevented the other kangs from becoming, at least until the “sacred timeline” was destroyed

It could be that every Kang has an inferiority complex and that every Kang is scared of being lesser than the other so they fight to have dominance over the multiverse because they are scared of the other doing so before them
