It most certainly did not have a good targeting system. It had a bad one at best. Otherwise, it was guys making uneducated guesses. That's part of the reason it would have needed it to be daytime and the sea to be extremely calm to even remotely have a chance against smaller US ships.

Actually the Japanese targeting was sub pare at the end of ww2 because 😂 radars became the norm and Japanese radars was bad 👎 .
