Hey you guys! After all of the recent "pet youtube" and TND drama, I've been getting some comments, specifically ones with nothing constructive, just blunt and rude. So I wanted to post a little PSA here to say how I feel! I appreciate all of you and I try to read every comment that I can.

No matter how hard I try, I am always going to be a very sensitive and intuitive person that thinks deeply about what others say to me and about me. This makes what I do hard, because the internet is a cruel place. I know my limit and I know that all of my animals are happy, healthy, and thriving. However, I do see that it is ultimately possible to always do better in any circumstance and I want to do just that. I want ALL of my animals to have the BEST life possible, whatever that may mean: a giant 50 gal live planted enclosure, a huge 150 gal fish tank, many acres to roam and graze, a huge backyard to run and play in, a 10 ft aviary...all of it can be better, and that is what I aim for with every animal I keep. When I get extra money, I don't spend it on myself, I spend it on my animals. I don't keep any of them in the bare minimum but I do see how I can always improve their quality of life and do better. I will keep aiming for that but I can also say with certainty that I always have and always will do everything in my power to keep my animals thriving and happy. It is easy for people to see one video or one picture and make assumptions, but as I said, this is my job, so I will take care of them to the best of my ability and if I recognize that my best isn't good enough, then I make a judgement call to find someone who can give them the best life possible. (Which is why research beforehand is important so you don't have to rehome an animal.) I do appreciate constructive critisicm as well, if it is given nicely. Since animals, the innocents, are involved, you can't ever NOT do better. It is my goal to inspire conservation and the preservation of all of my favorite species in the wild. To do that, I will continue to do better and I won't ever stop trying to improve. Even though most of my videos have educational segments, I also do plan on shifting my videos to take a more educational approach in general, even if that doesn't gain as many views, because I don't want to inspire people to get lots of pets. I want to help others care for their pets, which is why I research so heavily on every animal that I take in BEFORE I get it, but I also recognize that to inspire conservation, animal education and the importance of our natural world, I need to take a different approach and I also need to have a backbone behind the knowledge I am communicating, which is why I will continue to pursue my degree in herpetology. Thanks for reading my long winded paragraph! 😅
