Elon Musk officially announced new timeline for first Starship orbital flight…

Elon Musk lost his claim as having the most powerful space-worthy rocket when NASA blasted its own mega-rocket to the moon in November.
But the SpaceX founder could win back the title with his company's next big project. Starship, SpaceX's skyscraping rocket and spacecraft, will launch on its first mission soon as Musk just confirmed:
Find out everything about Elon Musk officially announced new timeline for the first Starship orbital flight in today's episode of Great SpaceX.

Elon Musk said on Saturday that SpaceX was planning to attempt to launch its reusable Starship rocket into orbit in March "if remaining tests go well."
The SpaceX CEO's comment came in response to a Twitter user asking if Starship was almost ready for launch.

If they could place a tantalum hafnium carbide 20mm thick plate of a 12m diameter on the base of the launch pod.The concrete underneath will not break to pieces, and will work perfectly for years.... The melting point is (4215 °C, 7619 °F) and the time is too short on liftoff for melting the plate.

Kevin, you lost me!! Did the termination mechanisms also fail on the Ballon’s over Latin America and Canada?

We all know you shouldn't underestimate Space X. Waiting impatiently for Starship Cape Canaveral!

There are still quite a few tests to be completed. Musk will want this launch to go without any issues. The scope of the launch and landing will be important to have success throughout. It is insanely difficult to launch and land all components, which is the goal - given the size of this machine.

This was no accident.. the solar cells likely powers electric motors that turned props and GPS to guide the vehical.. a no brainer. The vehical had a shit load of solar cell unlike a normal weather ballon

What percentage is needed to get the heavy rocket off and away from the launch pad and over the water? Then 100 percent until before Max-Q?

Interesting that sidewinder would be kill vehicle. Sidewinders use heat as the target so using the sidewinder here means it can use other targeting characteristics. Am I wrong?

Did it just happen to be pushed by the wind or motor over our military sites? Especially plural?

How many raptors might have to be replaced after the 33 engine static fire? Seems they have had to replace engines after every static fire. Are they really that fragile?

I'm rooting for SpaceX, but this launch could either be amazing or a complete and total disaster. I hope comparing it to the N1 doesn't turn out to be prophetic. The one thing it's got going for it is the engine seems to be a very solid design. I'm a bit worried about the structure of the rocket though. That's a LOT of force.

Sue hope the first stage structure can withstand the compression forces of launch...
