Donald Trump Praises Elon Musk for Threatening Union Workers

The RNC literally spent a week at their national convention trying to sell voters on the idea that the GOP was the party of labor and on the side of average working Americans. One problem? The Republican nominee continues to be hostile towards labor unions and leaders.

During an Aug 12 interview on X Spaces, Donald Trump praised Elon Musk for threatening to fire workers who unionized. While it is unclear what incident Trump was referring to, Musk has previously been subject to National Labor Relations Board inquiries into his anti-union practices. According to Newsweek, Musk once threatened to withhold stock options from Tesla employees who unionized.

As more and more Americans unionize their workplaces and fight back against corporate greed, one party stands with them on picket lines, in Congress, and in rhetoric. The other praises the billionaires who these unions and workers are fighting against.
