Having surrendered themselves to God and been freed from desire and the sense of doership, the wise ones remain unaffected despite being engaged in constant action. They are ever-content and are not subject to the lower emotions like anger or envy; they are always even-minded, having understood that duality is the nature of human life.
Meaning Ch 04 – śloka 21-22:
Having given up expectations and all sense of ownership, with the mind and intelligence under control, one does not acquire any sin [even though] performing actions by their body.
[One who is] satisfied with gain which comes of its own, beyond duality, free from envy, and steady in both success and failure, [that person] is never bound, although performing actions.
