I heard that Bocchi the Rock started production around early 2019. So, it took them 3 years to do this show which is quite long for a slice of life anime. But it was worth it as BTR totally rock it.

Even in their regular shots, the animation are fresh and crisp. You have the highly detailed realistic background and then the characters are drawn on top.

As a drummer of 6+ years, seeing Nijika's performances throughout the series always got me emotional. I love the attention to detail from the weight of the kick pedals to her hand position on the sticks and her gently tapping her leg to the rhythm to stay on beat during the softer moments. This show was truly a love letter to musicians
