Who remember logging on at night to get in those chatrooms and trying be quiet with that loud dial up to AOL and then forgetting to mute speakers so you got a loud ass "WELCOME, YOU GOT MAIL" and scare the shit out of you and waking up everybody in the house. 😂😂😂

The build-up with all the connecting sounds....and the climactic success hearing "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!"

Now, we have instant gratification, with no build-up, no anticipation. No having to tell someone they can't use the phone because you're "Surfing the 'Net"...

Not that I miss dial-up, but things move so fast now. We don't take time to breathe, think, or appreciate what we have. Instead, we want everything YESTERDAY!

At least given technology, and the advancements, we can look back to see all the work it took us to get here.

Brings back such glorious AOL memories. The 5 minute dial-ups, Loved AOL chat-rooms they was apart of my life in my youth. miss the people who were my chat friends and sometimes wonder whatever became of them.
