I'm a Professional Writer

Last week your guys heard me talk about my job a little bit and how I do a lot of non-fiction writing for it. In case you didn’t know I work as a marketing and PR intern at a large hospital in Massachusetts. I’ve been able to learn an endless amount of skills from this job, from marketing press releases, to just the ins and outs of working in a corporate world. Some of these skills I’ve even been able to incorporate into my novel marketing (it would be more helpful of course if I had a little more time to implement these skills).

Yes, I consider you a professional writer! I'm a life coach, working on self-publishing my first book. In my work as a life coach to help people who suffer from mental health issues work more productively, I do most of my work via chat and email coaching, so I write a lot! I'm currently a journalism student, so I hope to write in either a local newspaper, or maybe something cool like the New York Times or Nat Geo, but alongside that, I definitely want to be an author and write my novels.

I don't have a steady source of income, per se. Which can be a tad scary at times. However, I do have a job that pays room and board, and on top of that I do a lot of novel writing. Hopefully someday my writing will actually be able to sustain me. :P

i was thinking about writing a new novelette about a huge polar bear that rips into a camp and devours a antartic expedition. Something like At the mountains of madness or "the terror"

I do not know if you apply the term professional writer to marketing content or am i wrong?, it sounds more like diaries or magazines that can be online or not, in your case I would say that you are professional because you live from that and obviously pay you and you wrote twol books, Anyway congratulations, very inspiring the vídeo.
