Funnily enough, she ends up being the disney villain with the most genuinely evil reasoning for her motives. Seriously, every other villain was "ill lie or manipulate to get something" and shes just "i have fame and money. I just never had a coat made of puppies before. I should pay 2 men to kidnap and skin 100 puppies.".

The first time I saw the film I thought it was really great that the baroness’s character never really strayed from her coldness, except at the very last second when she really realized everyone knows the truth about her, and this time they will do something about it.
