Academy Award® winner Emma Stone (“La La Land”) stars in Disney’s “Cruella,” an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (“Howards End,” “Sense & Sensibility”). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

Disney’s “Cruella” is directed by Craig Gillespie (“I Tonya”) from a screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis. It was produced by Andrew Gunn (“Freaky Friday”), Marc Platt (“Mary Poppins Returns”) and Kristin Burr (“Christopher Robin”), with Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff and Glenn Close serving as executive producers. You can not like fashion and absolutely love this movie. Not only did Stone nail the Cruella role, but they simultaneously wrote up a perfect rival for her and casted a perfect actress for the role. Thompson was magnificent.

Ironic, the baroness owning Estella’s private work because of her contract being what Disney does with their employees… anything you make regardless of on the clock or not belongs to them the entire duration off your employment. It’s essentially an incentive to only be creative for Disney…

This could have easily been a stand-alone movie. I will never understand why they felt the need to tie it with Cruella and 101 dalmatian in the loosest way possible. Still a solid movie.

Can you imagine how much damage destroying that entire collection caused? Nothing to show to investors or editors or anyone with clout. Probably also ended up with stocks falling like crazy and a few employees getting sacked. It is indeed ruthless and twisted.

When I first saw the movie, I immediately recognized the cocoons, but I thought the plan was for normal butterflies to emerge and wow the audience with a butterfly dress. This was so much better

The fur fascination still has be established and Cruella isn't evil enough, especially to those very close. Giving away two puppies isn't evil... The Baroness has to be brought back in every way possible, jail or not. Preferably not...

Still got to say this dress and the red gown are always going to be my top two looks. They were just out of this world amazing. Cruella looked just stunning in the red dress and the bugs in the spring look was just beyond amazing
