Best 10 Day Itinerary in Italy

This itinerary most definitely has too many cities for the days of travel. The travel time and distance would have you rushing around and not appreciating any of them. My best trip there included Rome, Florence, day trip to Cinque Terre, and a second day trip out to San Gimignano. We were there 12 days. Next trip I’ll stay in Cinque Terre and then go North.

This seems like too much running around. You are staying in 5 places over 10 nights. Hotel check in is usually around 3 pm and you’ve got several hours of travel between locations so you are losing precious time while jumping around. Sadly, the pronunciation of Torcello is a hint that maybe you shouldn’t be offering travel advice in Italy.

I’ve been to Rome 3 times, and returning next summer. In my humble opinion, your choice of cities was horrible. Posted as an itinerary for Northern Italy might have worked.
