Where should I go in France? This video covers a nice itinerary for first time visitors to France. Our suggested France tour starts in Paris for a few days visiting the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomph, the Louvre, then off to Normandy for the D-Day beaches, then the Loire Valley for the Chateaux, and if you have time visit Provence for a few days.

Tip from someone living here: enter Louvre from the metro/Carrousel du Louvre entry, there are far less people there. You can then exit via the main entrance and take fabulous shots of the Pyramide on your way out.

I would absolutely love to see more itinerary for more places. It’s one of the most frustrating parts of going someplace I’ve never been with gauging how far places are from each other and if doing so many things are even possible with the given time.
Anyways, did most of these sights while in France, so this is a great vid for anyone planning on going to Paris. The Louvre is a MUST.

Sitting in a garden at Chenonceau watching a Wolters video about France... life is good. Thank you Mark, et al for all your advice that helped me plan this trip for me, my wife, and my 11 y.o. daughter!

There's a few years left if you want to see the construction work but you can add the Guedelon castle, built since the 90's following the medieval techniques

Wonderful info for a first time visitor. I went to all those places on my first trip in 1995. I am obsessed with France.... have been for years.

I'd combine Provence with a trip to Med. Also, would combine Paris with London or Amsterdam because of trains. Agree on France - great place and Paris is best tourist city anywhere. Great video again Mark.

I love your videos Mark, you talk openly about cities and countries, good and bad things, all we want to know as tourists! Thanks a lot from Sao Paulo, Brazil!

I don' think we ever did more than two in a day, maybe three one day. Highly recommend getting out of bed early to beat the tour buses if you want to avoid the crowds at the better known Chateaus like Chenonceau or Asay le Rideau. Visiting Blois was a real surprise. The magic museum across from the chateau was an unexpected treat. Carcassonne, in the Languedoc, is a great place too! There is just too too much! Nous sommes Francophiles aussi!!🍷🍷Santé!

Hi Mark. Very good video. Please make more like this. It helps to know more specifics/details about a city or region. Also, please make more videos on local travel specifics. It can be a little confusing when we get to a new bus or train station and want to take a day trip somewhere. Thanks for the great content!!!

Just got back from Italy, and planning a trip to France in a couple of years. Learning a little French too. Hey, a French tourist doesn’t expect us to talk to him in French, so I don’t understand why Americans get annoyed when french people don’t speak in English. This video is a good starting point. Thanks so much.

When my father was stationed in Germany we visited Normandy . Iwas overwhelmed with massive amount of people buried there. It was an experience of a lifetine.

We've just filmed a long walk in Paris and found this really helpful to orientate ourselves, so thanks as always Mark.
