I had no clue what a portable dishwasher was until I randomly found one and they are awesome. This is a rolling portable dishwasher but they have ones that fit on top of your counter as well. These are great options for apartments that don't have a separate water line installed for a dishwasher.

This a tutorial on how to use my MayTag dishwasher but they all seem very similar.

I grew up in the Air Force and, even though my dad was an officer and retired as a Colonel, none of our base houses (as beautiful as the last one was) had dishwashers, but my mom had a portable dishwasher and it worked exactly like the ones today. The hookup is exactly the same. It worked really well, we had no problems with it. They either sold it or got rid of it when Dad retired because the house they had built had a dishwasher (and a trash compactor). They work great.

Someone may have already told you this but you don't have to use the sprayer... The little red button on the hook up/drain, allows you to use the faucet while it's hooked up. I love my portable dishwasher. I have contact dermatitis and ezcema mainly on my hands so hand washing dishes just isn't an option for me, even with dish gloves. There's no way I could conveniently install a perm. one so these are a lifesaver!!!
