Windows 10 System Restore is a great feature, but does it actually work when you need it to?

The default setting is for snap shots or restore points whenever there is a program added or removed, For me that is a not enough!

restore points saved me many times over the years and since I built my first computer I'd forgotten all about it....thanks for the reminder and how to set it up!

Good video Mike. I usually make a restore point before Windows updates, or before installing a new app from the internet. I've always done this manually, but I guess it would be a good idea to schedule weekly restore points automatically as I do forget from time to time. Now, to make me a nice pot of tea on this cold Sunday. Currently have a windchill of -8C.

tkx for your help. the schedule tasks shows the task done but it´s not updating my list of restore point when I go to system/choose other restore points. is it right?

What if your scheduled task has no "trigger" to edit?

Hi Mike, I have set up scheduled restore point as per your video, after the srp time passes, if I go back to task schedular and look at the restore point it says the the task has been done but it isn't in the list of restore points, also scheduled system restore task isn't showing in the Task Scheduler Library

So when I follow the steps in the video on my machine I get an error saying that I must enter in atleast one action which is not covered in this video.
