How Apple News Helped Me Ditch Social Media

Many people have complained about Apple News in the past, poking fun at Apple's attempts at building a compelling news aggregator. But lately, I've been using it a ton, and I'm surprised to say that it's actually gotten really good!

I love Apple News. I think it is great and only getting better. I think I am so tired seeing news from other sources because it is more work. Now I just go to Apple News and it just works.

Apple News really is great for the topics I personally enjoy but I have to say that the Google News app is my favourite at the moment. It’s simple and I feel like it brings in more news sources but isn’t as consistent. I use both! Great video :)

What I like about the app is that it’s much easier to use and has overall better ui than say google news app. However, google news does have more detailed and better coverage of topics I follow. Pros and cons to both I guess. :)

Good points. It is unfortunate though how much of the news is manipulated, inaccurate, or just simply is drama and not real news.

I think for outside US you would need to change the location in general as well as the apple ID location. but I do not want to try the latter at the moment because you lose all (or most of) the purchased apps and in app purchases and can only change it once every 90 days. I am not sure if it would even be legal. But I really want to try it at some point because Apple One is a much better deal in the US because it is actually also cheaper compared to Switzerland, while at the same time offering more. I wonder who made the prices in Switzerland, they really do not make sense.

I mean it would had been cool if it actually For someone in europe like me, the App is hidden and If I try launch it I get error message it's not avaiable in my BUT WHAT IF I WANT TO READ US NEWS?!.. I can't. AND to switch country, you are FORCED to switch country on your whole phone!... that's so stupid!


Google news however, let me switch between countries... so I can read what's happening around the world, it's great.

Apple news is annoying. I literally can’t read anything... even CNN. Everything isn’t supported in my region but to hell with that app, I’ll still give this video a like.

Reason I don’t is cos it’s only aimed for the American market - example I live in the uk but I can get a free waffle in in America today 🤷‍♂️
