Why I dislike Comcast!

So the year for our $99 promotional "Triple Play" price is up, and I go online where I manage my account to remove the cable portion of our service as we use Netflix, and Amazon, and most of the cable channels are garbage anyway. We watched Food Network, BBC America, and Discovery, that was it. And of course, you can only add features or service on the website, you have to call in to cancel any service. This is the 6th year I have done this and every year, they offer to renew the Triple play promotional price. But more interestingly is the fact that every year when I try to call and cancel any part of my service, I go through the phone queue, and finally get where I need to be, then the automated attendant hangs up on me! It has done this for 6 years! Every year I complain because I have to drive to Nashville which was the nearest Comcast office. They offer their sincerest apologies and I forget about it until the next year. It Just goes to show how underhanded some companies can be! I went on a chat session pretending I wanted to add service, and then told them about my problem and to get me to a manager. I told them their upper management should watch this video. I hope it goes viral and gives Comcast a real black eye.

good luck getting one on the line that you can understand too.. FYI they never call back even if you do accept that offer for them to call you back within 30 minuntes. you never get anywhere with Comcast phone service or chat either one.  back in the day they used to be both willing and able to help out with pretty much any situation, now days not so much and it is frustrating. was talking to one of my user's from work that solved his issue in a very interesting manner.  took his cable box and modem in to the call center over in metro center near our offices and hurled it at the receptionist and a manager happened to be in the lobby at the time and asked why he did that so the guy told him he was tired of dealing with the indian reps that either can't understand him or are too stupid to understand what he was saying since they wouldn't cancel his service he was canceling it and they need not bother sending him another bill for it either. 

When i asked him what came of it he said they finally listened to him and he walked out of there with a brand new box and his service was finally reduced to basic cable and he got a newer faster internet modem delivered that afternoon.  he was trying to cancel the service entirely but supposedly you have to have at least basic cable to get any internet at all through them. of course he said he's about to do it again soon because he's just barely getting 2 mb down and .5 up not much good for anything and they won't send a truck out to check his connection either. sound familliar?

Try it again but press zero when it starts with the different deperments it should go right to a live person

Mike We have basic cable here and internet and our bill is like $ 180.00 a month so I know how your feeling. The internet I have is 15 megs down 5 megs up thats if its working well P.S I have Armstrong Cable

Sounds like a typical company attitude to me, happy to take the money but no access to real help afterwards, i bet if you check the phone charges they are charging you for that call, companys often do that.
Im with virgin media, im sure its unknown to you, but when things go wrong with the system its no good trying to contact them from the internet, there site is full of packages to upgrade to and no obvious way to contact them, its done on purpose.
And i got mine cheap for a while, then they slowly creap up the prices and give so called planned upgrades/improvements without asking, but the prices creap up and up.
Your not alone mike, i feel sorry for you mate :-(

YOU DO REALIZE THEY DISCONNECT YOU BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO LEAVE AHAHA WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS START AT NUMBER 1 AND CLICK IT TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THEN AFTER YOU GET AN OPERATOR TELL THEM YOU WANT TO DISCONNECT AND FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS YOUR BEING HANGED UP ON IF YOU DON'T GET AN OPERATOR ON 1 TRY 234 AND FIVE THAT'S WHAT I DO WHEN IM HANGED UP ON TRY IT, IT JUST MAY WORK
