how does the cost compare? I pay 65 a month now for comcast but every year I have to do a song and dance with them to negotiate the bill when they jack it up.

I can't wait until this service comes to Pittsburg, CA! Comcast and AT&T are the only ones out here and both are taking advantage of their customers. I honestly hate the caps on data...

WHY CANT THE CONSUMER CHOOSE WHAT INTERNET COMPANY WE WANT. WHY IS IT THAT COMPANIES PURPOSELY ONLY OFFER IN CERTAIN AREAS. IS IT TO CONTROL THE INTERNET. IS IT TO CONTROL CHARGING WHAT THEY WANT TO US.

50 to get connected again when you are a paying costumer? You got som strange rules over there. HFC net? Fiber to node and coax from there and out?

Make sure you check out the Sonic reviews on yelp. Not good. I am all for competitors to Comcast but where are the ones that perform better for a lower rate? Sonic is cheaper by $25 / month than Comcast but looks like a bit more grief....which is what I would expect from a cut-rate service. Plus, Sonic's service area looks to be only in Northern California at the moment.
