Torque converter gear swap / 12 tooth versus 15 / Juggernaut
Installed a 15 tooth Driven gear on the Baja racer / Doodlebug minibike to see if we could get any more top speed out of the combo. The engine is a 212 Tillotson E with a mod 3 cam, billet rod, VM22 Mikuni carb, and a header pipe.

You should compare pwk24mm flatside carb vs the genuine flatside mikuni.

Does the torque converter work like a variator on a scooter we're two halves open and close and change ratios of acceleration or just a certain amount of gear reduction off of the crankshaft

Try a 60t on the rear, if you get a chance. I have that and a 12t on the driven. I'm working on driven springs at the moment.

Have you done a test between a 6" driven pulley and a 7" driven pulley while using the Juggernaut?

You gotta lower your teeth on the back sprocket to see some real numbers try 15/55

I think a smaller rear sprocket like a 40 would make it faster

Ok, I get the idea here- but I’m looking to go in the opposite direction. I put a 224 Predator on my mini, 30 series torque converter, it has a 10 tooth sprocket up front and I put a 72 tooth on the wheel.
Top speed was an unexpected 41mph on 21” tires. I wanna put an 8 tooth up front, I know it’ll knock down my top speed (not looking for speed with this build, I want max torque) what kind of gear ratio would I have here?

I'm running a 12 tooth and 37 tooth on the rear with a 30 series tourqe converter on my go kart with 5 inch rims with slicks a brand new predator 212cc I even removed the governor and it won't go over 10 mph 😢 I'm looking at a 17 tooth 5/8 BORE #40 jackshaft sprocket was wondering if that will help and also would it fit on my tourqe converter I am running a 420 chain and a live axle I need advice and you seem to know alot how do I fix my slow 🐌 go kart that I just built myself lol it's my first welding project 😀 thanks in advance
