'GOP civil war' McCarthy falls short in 14th vote, representatives plead to Boebert, Gaetz

Moments after Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert voted "present," several members of the U.S. House make their way across the chamber to plead or congratulate the two GOP holdouts.

It seems that Kevin McCarthy has fallen short of Speaker for a 14th time, setting up a 15th ballot.

Some want to cut military spending, SS and medicare, Wonder if maybe we should cut congressional salaries and their 3 million dollar per congressional person budget? I think it is 3 million if not more. I say we defund congress as some want to defund things that keep us safe.
