Honestly, that's one of the biggest joys of pc building, the amount of personalizing you can do. I spent well over 500 bucks extra getting things I thought were more aesthetically pleasing.

I'm very fond of the B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE. It's a goregous white board, has PCIE5 for everything, Wifi 6E, 229, and has pretty chonky vrms and heatsinks lol

Personally use an ASRock X670E PG Lightning board. While I do not at all need an X670E chipset for a 7800X3D and 4070 build, I figured that things like PCIe 5.0 for storage and the other features it has will be useful in the future. In hindsight, any B650E probably would've been fine. Oh well.

Personally, the Intel 815E Chipset works best for me. But the 440BX is also fairly decent.

MSI makes really good mid-range motherboards, and you can find models for most of the processors out there. Which is damn important, because every sane person picks motherboard *and* processor - not one *for* another.

To be fair going with a higher end motherboard is generally a good idea especially if you want A better upgrade path into the future

taichi motherboard back a couple gens was actually the perfect choice for a consumer ryzen based server

only mb what came with like 10 SATA ports out of the box for all them harddrives w/o having to deal with external expansion cards
